Economy electric heat tracing cables are ideal over steam or hot oil tracing. Unlike hot oil or steam, electric heating cables are fast and easy to install. They require minimal maintenance and alleviate concerns of leaking oils or steam freeze ups. In addition, electric trace provides valuable control accuracy and reliability.

Economy heating cables are ideal for heating pipes, valves, traps, pumps, and related items. The general applications are freeze protection of water and process control to maintain viscosity of dense fuel and oil and keep wax, pitch, asphalt, lead, etc. in a liquid state and keep condensate in gas or steam lines from freezing and protect gauges and instruments.

A vessel may be a barrel, tank, hopper, or fly ash precipitator. They come in all shapes and sizes. Flexibility, mechanical ruggedness, easy installation and long life are the features that make Economy MI heating units a welcome tool for heating some vessels. Economy units are generally attached to the outside walls of vessels to prevent condensation or freezing, keep fluid parts from precipitating out, maintain liquids above pour point, and for melting wax etc.

Economy electric Mat Heaters are perfect for heating tanks. They operate similarly to steam and oil jackets, but have MI electric elements in place of a transfer fluid. Unlike steam or oil jackets, they do not leak or require service or maintenance. Accurate and uniform temperature control is achievable, no hot spots.

Mat heaters provide uniform heat distribution over the entire surface. Other electric pad heaters are only available in limited sizes with high outputs, creating hot spots. Economy Mat heaters are available in all sizes. They are custom built to meet the requirements of the application.
