CERAMIC FIBRE ROPES
One of the simplest and easiest form of removable
lagging of heat insulating material. It is made
in coil in rope form and cosists of formation
of Ceramic Fibre in open mesh with choice of covers.
The greatest advantage of Ceramic Fibre material
over the Glass Fibre of Asbestos Fibre is realised
by way of greater heat insulation properties and
temperature.
Sizes :
Diameters : 10, 15, 20, 25, 40, 50 & 60
mm.
Types of cover : Glass braid / Stainless
steel braid cover.
Typical Applications : Expansion joints,
furnace doors, exhaust pipe lagging, insulation
of power house, marine and steam pipes. |

GLASS FIBRE ROPES
Glass Fibres are braided in the rope form
and provide easy solution for insulaton and lagging.
These can be used in temperatures upto to 400
deg C very conveniently. However, these are heavier
compared to Ceramic Fibre Ropes and are used for
similar applicatons except where the temperature
are much less.
Sizes:
Diameter: 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 20, 25
and more.
Lengths: Standard small sizes are normally
supplied in coils of 50 metres. |

ASBESTOS ROPES
Asbestos Fibres are gathered and are held
together to form a rope which is used for lagging
and insulations. These are very effectively used
for the application upto 350 deg C beyond which
the bibres start crumbling. Although this is an
old age material but, since many years this is
discarded world over and considered health hazard.
In our country the material is used in many forms
out of ignorance or certain times out of compulsion.
Sizes:
Diameter: 12.5, 19, 25, 35, 50 upto 70
mm
Types available : Soft and Hard. |
